Our Commitment to a Greener Future

At QCM Healthcare, we believe healthcare excellence goes hand in hand with environmental responsibility. We are committed to achieving Net Zero by 2050, with a target date of 2040, while continuing to deliver high-quality care across the UK.

Explore our sustainability goals and the practical steps we are taking to reduce emissions, manage risk, and embed environmental responsibility across our organisation.

Sustainability at QCM

Since our inception, QCM Healthcare has been committed to reducing operational carbon emissions and building a greener future for healthcare. Our sustainability strategy strengthens our environmental management systems and addresses both climate and transition risks.

We are working towards a bold target: achieving Net Zero by 2050, with internal systems and initiatives designed to accelerate progress towards 2040.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions represent greenhouse gases (GHG) produced before introducing reduction strategies. They form the reference point against which future reductions are measured.

Baseline Year: July 2022 - July 2023

  • Scope 1 Emissions: 0
  • Scope 2 Emissions: 0.857
  • Scope 3 Emissions: 91.084

Most Recent Reporting Year

  • Scope 1 Emissions: 0
  • Scope 2 Emissions: 1.076
  • Scope 3 Emissions: 93.583

Emissions Reduction Targets

We are committed to Net Zero across:

  • Scope 1 and 2 emissions, covering gas, electricity, business travel, and staff commuting.
  • Scope 3 emissions, including supply chain, transport, distribution, waste, and leased asset electricity use.

To ensure progress, we will establish interim targets and align with the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTI), following a 1.5-degree scenario pathway.

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives (2023-2024)
